Home care questions

These questions may help families understand how care can be arranged, adjusted and discussed with NVC Group Malaysia.

What services does NVC Group offer?

NVC Group Malaysia provides home care and support services in Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas. Contact our team to confirm availability for your location and support needs.

What types of care services are available?

Care services may include everyday home care, domestic support, companion care, private nursing care, post-hospital care, respite care, dementia home care, physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

How do I know what type of care is right?

You do not need to know the exact service before contacting us. Our team can talk through the person’s situation, routines, health needs and family circumstances to help identify a suitable starting point.

Can support be adjusted over time?

Yes. Care needs can change over time, so support can be reviewed and adjusted as routines, recovery, health needs or family circumstances change.

Is care available for short-term or ongoing support?

Care may be arranged for short-term needs, recovery support or longer-term assistance, depending on the person’s situation and the services required.

Can family members be involved in care discussions?

Yes. Family members can be involved where appropriate, particularly when they help coordinate support or understand the person’s preferences, routines and care needs.

Specialist support

Some people may need more targeted support following illness, hospital admission or changes in mobility, memory or daily functioning.

What is private nursing care?

Private nursing care may support people with health-related needs at home, depending on the care arrangement and the clinical support required.

What is post-hospital care?

Post-hospital care supports people after a hospital stay. It may include practical assistance, recovery support, care coordination and help with routines at home.

What is respite care?

Respite care provides temporary support when family members or regular carers need a break, are unavailable or require additional help managing care needs.

What does dementia home care involve?

Dementia home care supports people living with memory changes, confusion or cognitive decline. Support may focus on routine, reassurance, safety, comfort and familiar daily activities.

When might physiotherapy or occupational therapy be useful?

Physiotherapy or occupational therapy may be useful when a person needs support with mobility, strength, function, daily activities, equipment advice or safer ways to manage at home.

Education and training questions

NVC Group Malaysia connects learners, care staff and organisations with Australian-aligned education options through its education pathway.

What education options are available?

NVC Group Malaysia provides access to Australian qualification pathways and practical short-course training. Current options include Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support and short courses in caregiving and healthcare support.

Are the Certificate III and Certificate IV Australian qualifications?

Yes. Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Ageing Support are Australian qualification pathways delivered through NVC Group Malaysia’s education partnership with NV College (RTO 40787).

Are the short courses part of the Australian qualification framework?

Respite care provides temporary support when family members or regular carers need a break, are unavailable or require additional help managing care needs.

Who are the education options suited to?

Education options may suit learners entering care work, current care staff building capability, employers supporting workforce development, and organisations seeking practical training options.

How do I know which education option is right?

You can contact NVC Group Malaysia to discuss your goals, background and training needs. The team can help you understand whether a qualification pathway or short-course option may be more suitable.

Can organisations enquire about training for staff?
